Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot

20 November, 2014

With the Holiday season right around the corner and bloggers raving about some products, the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O' Blushes caught my eye immediately. Firstly because I didn't own anything from Benefit and I was majorly interested in trying Hoola and Dandelion. So for less than the price of both I was able to get this metal case with the cutest Holiday theme that contains six blushes, a cream highlighter, and a tiny brush.

I remember first reading about this in Alyson's blog Beauty Vanity, and when I was mingling around Sephora I ran into a stand with only about 4 of these left (lucky me!) so I obviously had to take one home with me. Besides, who could resist such a cute packaging like this? Not me.

Yo no.

Dandelion was exactly what I wanted it to be, it's soft and pink and perfect for everyday use. Judging by the pan, I thought Bellabamba and Sugarbomb were going to look really harsh but they ended up being subtle aside from the sparkly bits in them, I feel like they're still day-time appropriate. I had read that Hoola was perfect for contouring, after trying it on I was hooked enough to buy the normal sized one too.

Coralista was probably the only blush that didn't amaze me, it seems to me a little too pale and the glittery bits don't do me any good. However, I think this could work with a look where I'm all about bronzer and just use it for cheek highlighting. I expected something like my Bellabamba idea for Rockateur too (that sort of red cheek look) but I was obviously wrong. It has a slight cool browny tone to it which I loved, I really want to wear this with a smokey eye.

As for the highlighter, Watt's Up feels really soft in the skin and blends away naturally. I love that it doesn't have chunky bits of glitter, but it's rather a golden glow. The little brush isn't my favorite one at all, neither the normal sized one in the Hoola bronzer that I purchased but I still think it's nice that they included a mini version in case you need it for traveling.

So for me, this palette is a total win! If you want a more in-depth review with more pictures you can check out Alina's post in her blog Beauty With Charm, as well as Alyson's mentioned above.

What do you think of this blush box? Have you tried any of these before?

¿Qué les parece esta caja de rubores? ¿Han probado alguno de estos antes?
